DAVID PENTLAND - Acupuncturist (REGISTERED)
I have been practising Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine since 1986. I spent my early years travelling before spending time with Mother Teresa in the house of the dying. From this point, I knew mys calling was to help people in the health industry. My interest is mainly in musculo skeletal problems with the "no prolonged treatment without results" motto. We have built a great team of practitioners in a well established clinic with a good rapport with General Practitioners and Specialists on the Sunshine Coast. I pride myself on team work and making sure the patient comes first and gets the best possible treatment and results.
DR MANON BRUNET - Osteopath
After 2 years of medical school in France I completed my Masters degree in Osteopathy at the European School of Osteopathy in the UK, in 2014. During my time there I also completed qualifications in Pilates and sports massage, and was lucky to work as a therapist during the London 2012 Olympic games. Shortly after graduating I migrated to Melbourne where I worked for 3 years and undertook additional training in visceral and biodynamic osteopathy.
I am passionate about providing my patients with the best care, tailored to their needs, wants and goals. To do this, I utilise a wide range of techniques including dry needling, cranial osteopathy, stretching and manipulation. I also encourage active a full rehabilitation through exercise recommendations. Whilst I treat people from young to old I have a special interest in the treatment of children and in women’s health, particularly expectant mothers. I have been very privileged to work with mothers from the beginning of pregnancy, through to birth and then in treatment of their child.
Outside of the clinic I am a very active a sporty person, enjoying hiking, running, gym training and yoga. I hope to complete my yoga instructor training in the near future. I am also a very keen traveller, travelling extensively in Australia during my time here, as well as many other parts of the globe.
DR MEISHA KROGH - Osteopath
30/1/18 Meisha is currently travelling around Australia with her family and plans to return in 2019. We can suggest that you book with Dr Manon Brunet or Dr Mathew Kirk who have taken over treatment and care of Meisha's patients.
Since graduating from my osteopathic studies at RMIT in Melbourne in 2006, I have been working in the Sunshine Coast region. First in Nambour and then the last seven or so years here in Caloundra. I have enjoyed serving this community over this time, from working with unsettled babies and growing kids right through to the elderly.
As an osteopath, I see my job primarily as a problem solver and my hands are the tools by which I diagnose and help to resolve problem areas in the body. This may involve massage, specific stretching, joint manipulation or gentle unwinding of tissues. I feel very grateful for the opportunities I have had to assist people with chronic pain issues such as osteoarthritis. Osteopathic treatment is based on the principle of the body's own healing mechanisms and my treatment is focused on enhancing these functions by recognising the connections within the person's structure and with their movement and posture. The aim is to create space and balance in the tissues to help them function. As well as hands on treatment, I may also prescribe specific exercises or give general lifestyle advice.
I have a young family myself and I love to treat babies, kids and pregnant mums. Reflecting these interests, I have also persued extra studies in the areas of paediatric and obstetric treatment, and cranial osteopathy including cranio-dental development.
